The London Region Manufacturing Council (LRMC) is committed to fostering the growth of Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) chapters in London and region.

EMC is a unique not-for-profit association of manufacturers & exporters, incorporated to facilitate each members' development towards World-Class competitiveness.

Both the LRMC and the EMC strive to serve the needs of local manufacturers by focusing efforts in their individual areas of expertise and opportunity.

Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) In a Nutshell

• Strategic Interest Groups (SIGs):
  Meet monthly with other manufacturers to learn and share. Learn best practices and benchmark what others do to remove waste from their production. Members meet to learn and discuss topics in areas of production/quality and human resources.
• Field Service Advisors:
  Local, full-time advisor available to help you connect with local resources dedicated to helping manufactures and offer insight into how manufacturers throughout the system have handled problems.
• "Member Needs Help":
  On-line access to help from any of the 550 members across Canada. Simply craft your question regarding a problem and post it in the mailbox. Others who have addressed the problem will share how they dealt with the problem.
• Canada's Most Comprehensive Lean Program:
  Access to our "AtoZ Lean" program to identify ways to reduce waste throughout your organization. Opportunity to join in reduced cost workshops on lean principles
• Available Meetings in our Broader Network:
  Notice of topics being discussed in other EMC groups and free access to any group meeting, expanding the network of manufacturers to which you have access.
• Access to Comprehensive Range of Training:
  Skills development programs, presented by pre-qualified trainers, deliver member-requested training & learning activities in your community. Members often host the training & share the costs, making it accessible at lower costs, especially for small numbers of your staff.
• "EMC-WSIB Safety Group:
  Opportunity to participate in our safety group and share techniques to enhance safety for your people and share in substantial premium rebates. Our members have shared in over $1,000,000 in rebates.
