Mission Statement
The London Region Manufacturing Council (LRMC) will promote the continued
growth and prosperity of the London Region manufacturing sector by:

engaging the manufacturing community for the purposes
of raising awareness; and promoting local manufacturing regionally
and beyond;
- developing initiatives to address local manufacturing challenges
and opportunities; and fostering knowledge and sharing best practices;
and by

building on our recognition as a strong voice for the manufacturing sector.
LRMC Roles

We will provide information resources directly to manufacturers in a variety of formats as well as through periodic
learning opportunities.

We will advocate on behalf of the manufacturing sector at the local level. In addition we will explore advocacy
opportunities in partnership with other organizations at the provincial and federal levels.

We will encourage networking among manufacturers through regular events.

We will support and initiate activities that promote a prosperous manufacturing sector
Organizational Structure
The organizational structure is designed to reflect the priorities
of the manufacturers while still acknowledging the valuable input,
resources and abilities of local, regional and national manufacturing
support organizations. It also recognizes the increasing interest
in participation from manufacturers and others in London.
LRMC Steering Committee
Composition: The LRMC Steering Committee is composed
mainly of manufacturers from a range of sectors and company sizes
but includes some manufacturing support representation from LEDC and
others. Individuals are members because of their demonstrated interest
in the continued success of the manufacturing sector.

meetings will be the 2nd Wednesday of each month excluding July, August
Role: The Steering Committee solicits
opinion and responds to immediate inquiries, decides on LRMC priorities,
resource allocation, and initiatives to be undertaken. The Steering
Committee acts as a clearing house, connecting all members together
so that information can be shared. Ad-hoc committees from the LRMC Network
will be formed as issues arise or activities develop.
LRMC Network
Composition: The LRMC Network consists of manufacturers,
distributors and manufacturing focused service providers, manufacturing
support organizations, and individuals with an interest in the manufacturing
sector.
Role: The LRMC Network provides information, advice,
resources and assistance in support of manufacturing initiatives when
appropriate. Individual Network members will become engaged as issues
or initiatives of interest arise. The Network members will bring issues
of concern to the attention of the Steering Committee.
